Sophia prefers to paint 'en plein air' so this talk and demonstration was sure to go down well with members, and it did! Although we do have some outdoor painting sessions, we're always interested to see how the professionals do it. Sophia's use of the pochade box to hold her painting, palette, and materials, sparked a lot of interest, especially as it folded down to fit in a backpack. The paintings that she included in her presentation were superb.
